CHRISTMAS DRINK

Homemade   Eggnog

One of the most   British holiday treats is eggnog. This rich and creamy drink was especially designed for cold Christmas nights. This year we   would   like to prepare   a special recipe. Traditionally eggnog is spiked with brandy or rum, but we   wanted to give it   our personal touch so we used   milk instead of alcohol.
This recipe is a revelation in deliciousness and only need seven ingredients.
Ingredients:
12 medium egg yolk
11/2 cups (one and a half cups) or 320 g white granulated sugar
4 cups of milk
2 cups or 500 ml heavy cream
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon
Equipment Needed
blender
large bowl
whisk
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the egg yolks and white sugar into the bowl.Whisk for about 2 minutes or until the mix thickens up.
Pour the yolk-sugar mix into a large bowl, whisk in milk and cream.
Continue mixing.Instead of whisking by hand, you can use an electric mixer.
For a little extra flavor add nutmeg and vanilla. Then mix until well incorporated.
Next, gently fold the cream into the eggnog.
Chill until ready to serve.Sprinkle ground cinnamon over each cup before
serving.
You can also give it  away as gifts to friends and family to share in the merriment.

DIY CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Jar Candle Holder

This project is easy, fast and inexpensive as you can use material available at hand.

This DIY is perfect to recycle an old jar and make something elegant and beautiful.

Supplies:

  • a jar
  • a bow
  • glitter
  • scissors
  • a candle
  • paint

To make the jar to look more interesting you can paint the jar with golden paint.

You can cut out a heart out of tape or something that sticks to the jar and paint everything but that area.

Then peel off the heart and you'll get a lovely design.

A splendid  idea is adding a touch of glitter to the jar. The look of glowing light though the jar is cute.

If you like you can tie a bow.

And that's it!
